Editorial Production Intern
Department: Editorial Team
My experience
Overview
I essentially produced an episode of a podcast every single day. Scheduled interviews, record intros, write scripts/articles, mix, edit and out together episodes in software, and post them on the company website and publish on other podcasting platforms. Also made audio/video/image assets to use for other media that the company puts out.
Pros
I got a lot of hands on experience with software, actually doing things rather than just meaningless intern tasks, great team to work with
Cons
Gets a little monotonous because you are posting an episode every single day, short turn around times depending on episodes
Impact of work
Time spent working
How did working remote affect your experience?
The company has been relatively renovate since the start of the pandemic and I really enjoyed the option and flexibility of being able to choose to either WFH or come into the option depending on the day and the task.

Interview Rounds
Interview questions
Both interviews were pretty east, the first one was pretty conversational where they preemptively matched me with a department for a program. The second interview was more of an actual interview.
Advice on how to prepare
It was honestly a pretty east internship to get. I think that I made a good impression with the initial recruiter by being pretty straightforward with what I wanted but also laid back. In the second interview, the main focus is what I’ve already done in school (like working with Premiere and equipment) and what all I’m willing to do. I also asked a lot of questions about what I would be doing in the position.
