Software Engineering Intern
Department: Mulesoft Cloudhub
My experience
Overview
I was working with a cloud provisioning team for Mulesoft. I made a couple of changes to the build pipeline and then made a couple APIs to change the internal settings of the main software we ran and wrote front end pages to interact with those APIs. Since most of the changes were pretty small code changes, it felt like most of the time I spent was either digging through the largely undocumented codebase, testing my changes (often manually rip), and trying to talk to the other team members.||Other than coding, I think I probably spent a lot of time staring at reddit/hacker news, eating snacks, and giving people tours of Salesforce tower. My team's standups were often 45 minutes :'(

Advice on how to prepare
On-campus event lets you skip resume screen. A coding challenge and maybe an interview (can't remember) gets you through the basic stages, then you have to get matched with a team. When talking to teams, you always to a technical interview with a team member and a behavioral interview with the manager.||If you haven't heard anything for a while after talking to a manager, talk to your recruiter! I hadn't heard anything for over a month, so I asked my recruiter, and she immediately got me interviewing with another team.
