Software Engineering Intern
Department: Financial Services Technology
My experience
Overview
Worked on using Camunda (a process workflow automation software) to streamline how customers are contacted about their overdue payments. However, our project was mainly a POC, we didn't actually put our implementation into production.
Pros
Great team, self paced work, helpful manager, amazing intern program
Cons
Sometimes a little unclear on the direction of the project, your team placement really determines your experience

How did working remote affect your experience?
This was their second year doing remote internships, overall did a pretty good job, though it would have been really nice to go in person.
Interview advice
How did you find the job / apply?
Interview Rounds
Interview type
Interview questions
I did the SWE Summit and as a result automatically qualified for the "power day" interview, which is 3 hours long and consists of technical, behavioral, and case interviews. Overall the questions weren't too difficult, and if you prep properly by looking at past questions, using STAR framework, etc. you should have a good chance.
Advice on how to prepare
Make sure you explain stuff well in the behavioral and case interviews. If you can apply and get accepted to the Summit, they take 50%+ of summiteers as interns, so it really increases your chances.
