Performance Engineering Intern
Department: Performance Engineering for Equifax Workforce Solutions(EWS)
My experience
Overview
Performance Engineering with multiple different teams and worked with multiple applications. Main project involved working with the international workforce solutions team on 13 different APIs. I built comprehensive test plans with load testing and stress testing executions to determine bottlenecks of the application.
Pros
Ability to learn new things, exposure to so many different business units, working with senior engineers, fun friday sessions, meeting new people
Cons
Obtaining access to key software and projects can sometimes take a couple days to start or continue work on certain components of applications
Impact of work
Time spent working
How did working remote affect your experience?
The remote experience was actually beneficial because I got flexibility in work hours. It was great to take breaks in between work to grab a snack all at home and simply complete work basically at anytime of the day. Being remote also made everyone more willing to connect in meetings and take more time to help and teach me.
