Engineering Intern
Department: Materials & Processes
My experience
Overview
Performed materials testing in the lab, such as adhesive tests, paint tests, and composites tests. Was really just a lab tech
Pros
Got to contribute a little bit to lots of important projects, got to understand the processes that have to do with engineering design. Super nice people, everyone’s willing to help you out or show you what they do. You can see lots of amazing and very expensive projects.
Cons
There are projects you’ll contribute to but never know about due to security clearances, they don’t give interns many opportunities to contribute significantly to any program because there are so many risks and so much at stake.
Would recommend it to people who...
are into materials science and/or structural design
