Information Technology Intern
Department: Supply Chain Solutions
My experience
Overview
Started helping write Azure Data Factory pipelines from one database to another, got pulled off it. Then spent the rest of the summer making literally one Power BI report (didn’t even have a paid license so everything was done locally) with another intern - project was originally theirs and had to explain to them what they were doing. Not a good use of time or my skills.
In Hack-a-thon, President of IT was one of the judges for the final rounds - his son’s team won the entire competition without a working deliverable.
Pros
Nice people
Cons
No work, too many people on small projects, they outsource all of their interesting developments, nepotism runs STRONG
Impact of work
Time spent working
How did working remote affect your experience?
Got assigned no work. Felt insanely underutilized and paired up with another intern for the entire summer to do a project that would’ve been reasonable for a week.
