Client Marketing Intern
Department: B2B Marketing
My experience
Overview
I created a spreadsheet to consolidate and track the success metrics of recent marketing campaigns. I also did an analysis of competitors' websites to see how we should improve/change ours.
Everyone at the company is so nice and the culture is amazing! You will never work long hours or have unrealistic/high expectations. On the flip side, the company and work isn't particularly exciting or high-energy. Nothing necessarily bad about that, just something to be aware of.
Would recommend it to people who...
want a laid back and friendly summer
Impact of work
Time spent working
How did working remote affect your experience?
They did a really great job getting the interns to know each other even though we were virtual. Some had the option to go in person occasionally, but I did not. My team was great and welcoming regardless, and being virtual allowed me to be flexible with my work location (and go visit friends!)

Interview Rounds
Interview type
Interview questions
Pretty standard "tell me about yourself" type behavior/experience questions, also looking to understand what marketing skills you have
Advice on how to prepare
The final interview was me just asking a VP questions I had for 30 minutes, so come prepared with lots of questions! In general, American Century is pretty flexible with internships, so speak up about the work you want to do.
