My experience
Overview
Interns for the Georgia Legislative Internship Program are assigned to a committee chairman or leadership in the state capitol. For the most part, interns are on hand for administrative tasks (mail sorting, taking constituent calls, and leading the occasional tour). You do get to see an insider's perspective on how state government works, but for so much of the time, there's not a ton of substantial work to show for.
Would recommend it to people who...
Want to understand state government more or can get class credit for the internship
Would NOT recommend it to people who...
Want their own projects / work to show for future positions
Impact of work
How much knowledge or experience was needed going in (pre-requisites)?
