Software Engineering Co-Op
Department: Service Automation
My experience
Overview
I maintained Service Now Discovery and created Compliance Rules for Discovery. I also built a system to automatically create a service ticket when Azure encountered an issue.
I would highly recommend applying here because they don't seem to get too many applications; that should make it easier for first years and people with little experience to get a position. My biggest complaint is that, as a first year, they put me into a role where they needed somebody because people who had been there for previous rotations chose their roles first. This resulted in me being given a role that I was not a good fit for. With that being said, my team was extremely nice and helpful.
Pros
Everyone at the company is really nice
Impact of work
Time spent working
How did working remote affect your experience?
The entire IT department is remote, so it was a bit isolating. They did offer hotel desks at their HQ, and it was really nice when my team decided to meet up and work in person for one day. They also offer a few in-person opportunities to connect with other Co-Ops and Interns, so that was very useful for meeting new people.

Interview questions
The questions were relatively easy. They were mostly about my interests and what I had worked on in the past. There was no coding interview.
Advice on how to prepare
Just apply online. If you're a good candidate, they'll hire you.
