My experience
Overview
Used data of water usage for households in Atlanta to determine irrigation patterns and leakage trends. It was a lot of formatting data (a little tedious, but once I automated the process using VBA it was fine). Wrote reports summarizing findings (theoretically to eventually be published in a water-related magazine).
Absolutely loved it. Everyone I met there was super nice and supportive. My direct supervisor I still occasionally talk to, both professionally and just to catch up. A really great environment. The only reason I wouldn't work there full time is that my interests didn't line up with any of their available positions.

Advice on how to prepare
My interview was just a phone call with the person who ended up being my supervisor. Very friendly chat, then a follow-up call giving me the offer.
