Mechanical Engineering Co-op
Department: Range
My experience
Overview
I was given fully modeled parts in Creo, and I was tasked with simplifying them into representative models so that that the company could prototype and test them using cheaper methods (bending, welding, laser blanking) than soft-tooling.
I had previously co-opped here so I had made some friends that I would talk to throughout the day remotely. The social aspect is amazing at GE Appliances with so many co-ops in one place, so being remote is not advisable for a first-time co-op unless absolutely necessary.
Would recommend it to people who...
Are looking for some CAD experience and a good team environment.
